Sorrento, between myth and reality

From that period remain the traces of the Roman Villa of Pollio Felice, a wealthy Pozzuoli landowner, in Capo di Sorrento, a monumental building at the time, with a basin that was used, as needed, to the port or to swimming pool.
The wind of culture of Charles III of Bourbon invested also Sorrento which became a stage of the Grand Tour, and a source of inspiration for artists and writers from around the world.
